After a few stressful weeks I have got back in the kitchen and have began baking again. This week was the trial run of my Easter Biscuits in preparation of putting my first bakes into a show in a couple of weeks. The last time I put anything forward to be judged was when I was 8 years old and I decorated a wooden spoon as an Easter nest (complete with chicks) and Shrewsbury Biscuits of which the recipe is on here. So I am hoping to produce to a decent standard 5 Easter Biscuits, 5 cheese scones and a Battenburg Cake. In addition to this I am putting forward 2 of my photos in the categories of “Spring Scene” and “Horticultural”. So I have decided on a beautiful bunch of snowdrops from Kingston Lacy in Wimborne and a view of Bluebell Woods. Got my fingers crossed!
So other cooking this week has been a lovely Indian last night with Mushroom Bhaji to go with my homemade Chicken Curry and the recipe will be up on the website soon. I have also made a Spaghetti Bolognese in the slow cooker which I will be adding shortly also.
